Thank you to all
our owners
for providing such a great life for our Labradors
and for participating in so many activities with your dogs.
Yes, a champion's
title is awesome and we all work very hard for
those and they are
greatly appreciated when that super special occasion occurs.
Winning a Best Of Breed is why we campaign a champion and those are
counted,
cherished and celebrated each time as well.
Maybe a CGC does
not carry the hoopla that a champion's title or a BOB does, but let's
not forget that the owners and dogs participated in some training
classes
for those 3 letters.
At Chambray, the CGC is awarded at the end of an
8 week Basic Obedience Course
and upon passing the 10-item
AKC Canine Good Citizen test.
Maybe a match is
for fun and winning the generic little ribbons that are awarded at these
venues certainly does not equal the larger ribbons and rosettes at the
AKC shows, but again let's not forget that the dog and owners took the
time, may have
driven long distances and put up
with the expenses of doing so to participate in another fun event with their dogs.
