I have provided all three contact forms, however the very best way to contact us is through email.

Because of our very, very busy daily schedule with dogs and our kids, sometimes there isn't enough time to sit at the phone and return 20 or 30 calls we receive daily, however, we do answer all emails nightly, usually at 1 or 2 AM.

Where do you begin to tell about the 38-year romance and adventure-filled journey with this wonderful breed of dog?
How do you sum up almost 4 decades of involvement with Labrador Retrievers in a short essay?
What do you leave out and what do you focus in on?

In this fast-paced world of ours, there isn't enough available time to sit down and read about our
adventures (good and bad), experiences (good and bad)  and accomplishments (mostly good)
with Labradors.
So, we decided to "show" you our involvement with the breed using photos of our wonderful Labradors
and the many owners that have shared our journey with us. Thus the theme of our entire website is a
"Pictorial Journal" of our experiences with Labradors Retrievers.

Today the involvement with Labradors includes my entire family, which includes my wife Johanna,
my 18-year old daughter Jessica and my 13-year old son, Ryan. You will be soon "meeting"
them all in our photo essay. All of us are very involved in training, conditioning and
handling the dogs at the training classes that I conduct and at the dog shows that we travel to.
I am also very proud to announce the inclusion of my 34-year old daughter Shaune
and her son Jordan with their new kennel, True Grits Labradors.

Now 38 years and 3 generations of family with 7 generations of Labradors.

In addition to the immediate family, there is an extended family of Labrador owners, co-owners, breeders,
co-breeders and other breed fanciers that share our passion for the breed through their participation in
the different Labrador-related programs that we offer that now includes more than
65 Labradors in the Partners Program for the Betterment of the Breed

Notice in the preceding paragraph that I mention training, well that's because my wife and I are
professional dog trainers. We work with hundreds of dogs a month, through the various training classes
that we conduct, through Private One-On-One sessions with clients and their dogs and through
In-Kennel Training for dogs that are left with us at our home, kennel and farm. In addition, we conduct
All-Day Handler's Seminars for dog clubs and other organizations as fund raisers.

You will also see that we "condition" dogs for competition. That's because the Labrador Breed Standard
states that dogs should be shown in WORKING CONDITION! Too often we see dogs that are way too
fat and out of condition being paraded around inside the show ring. We strongly oppose judging
by the pound in our breed.

As a competitor, be it in Golden Gloves boxing, professional bowler, high school baseball, racquetball, volleyball, football, Jujitsu or
any other competitive sport that I have participated in, creating edges is paramount to be at the top.
No one ever competes to lose! Winning is the name of the game in every competitive endeavor and showing
dogs is no different. I have yet to meet up with anyone showing dogs that wants to lose.
At the beginning of a dog show, no one shows up at ringside as a loser. After the competition is
over they may walk away as losers due to poor Conformational Quality of their dogs,
improper Performance Training and/or inadequate Competitive Conditioning.

Besides Conformational Quality, Performance Training and Competitive Conditioning,
my wife and I are also Professional Dog Handlers and together with our 2 kids, may be found
handling Labradors and other breeds at 30 to 40 weekends a year of All-Breed Dog Shows and
one or two Labrador Specialties.

Conformational Quality, that's where it all begins. Producing the absolute best quality puppies is
paramount as the first step in our goal as breeders, thus our Mission Statement:

"As show breeders, producing top show quality is our primary goal,
as responsible breeders, guaranteeing and backing those puppies is our mission.
We exclusively breed for show potential and our priority is to place those
show potential puppies with owners that want the most competitive show puppies available."

The rest of our story is "written" in the WebPages that we share with you. Sit a spell and enjoy our
pictorial journal and our 3-decade plus journey with Labradors. Join us in the celebration of this wonderful
special breed of dog, known as the Labrador Retriever. If what you find here is something that you
might be interested in, feel free to contact us for more information, as you can see, we love to share
our passion with those that feel the same way we do.
