If you love Labradors as we do, you are as welcome as all our owners, partners and associates that have been with us for years and years. As you “journey” through our website, you will readily discover that through our 38 years with this wonderful breed, we have accomplished much and that we share all our experience and expertise with open arms to any and all that take that first step in getting to know about Chambray Labradors and the Partners Program for the Betterment of the Breed. The website itself is very extensive, with over 400 pages and with more than 1500 photos. It has been a pure labor of love to chronicle our three and half decades of involvement with Labradors. The theme of the website is a “pictorial journal” with lots of photos of all those Labradors, some ours, most with their owners that have contributed to our collective successes. We feel that the dogs should take the majority of the credit for our accomplishments and achievements and thus you will find that we document each and every accolade and award by our dogs and those of our partners and associates as well. When we brag and boast, it is 100% about the dogs, for without the dogs there would be no kennel, training facility or other dog-related endeavor. Keep in mind that our endeavor is very different than most Labrador Retriever breeders in the country, so that there can be no comparison with what we do. Besides breeding the absolute best in temperament, conformation and soundness, we are also professional dog trainers, professional dog handlers and also own a nutritional enterprise for Labradors. Our involvement with Labradors is all encompassing and we offer all our professional services to thousands of clients across the country through our various professional entities. This is not a fun hobby, weekend only, back-yard breeder activity for us, but rather a 24/7 professional organization with many facets and now country-wide reaching out to our partners and associates in almost every state and sector of the country. Labwell Products Inc. is our national nutritional corporate entity that supplies health products to thousands of owner, breeders and exhibitors across the country through an online storefront known as the Labrador Retriever Health Food Store at the following website ( www.labradorwell.com ) Professional K-9 Services Inc. serves all our show handling clients through out the Florida dog shows. We travel to more than 60 shows a year and handle Labradors and other breeds. Chambray Dog Training Inc. sees the largest amount of dogs yearly. Since our inception into dog training more than 25 years ago, we have helped train in excess of 15,000 dogs. Besides the In-kennel training, we hold training classes twice weekly and we also conduct dog training and handler’s seminars throughout the year. In addition, private one-on-one training sessions are held each day with clients and their dogs at our farm. Chambray Labradors Inc. is our entity for those Labradors that we breed. Through selective breeding for show only, we average 2 to 3 litters a year, placing the top show prospects with new owners that are interested in showing. Those puppies that are evaluated and do not have the competitive edge for show, are then placed as Pet puppies with the AKC’s Limited Registration. The Partners Program for the Betterment of the Breed is our "pay it forward" and contribution to the breed. We have created this unique Labrador Retriever owner, breeder and exhibitor’s community where each may participate at what ever level and involvement that they please to do so. Through the Partners Program we offer mentorship in all aspects of the breed, from beginners to advanced show breeders, each participant brings in what they have and takes out what we have to offer that they can not obtain elsewhere. The main goal is the betterment of the breed, so that all those that wish to join must have an absolute love for Labrador Retrievers. That love and passion is their passport into this unique community endeavor. Our affiliations in the dog world are varied and numerous. We are AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluators # 2592 We are proud sponsors with training for all Paws With A Cause “raiser” puppies placed in South Florida We are founders of the South Florida Labrador Retriever Club (founded 1989) We are members of the Everglades Golden Retrievers Club We are members and current officers of the Greater Miami Dog Club (est. 1947) We are the official dog trainers for the GMDC. We collaborate with the AKC and the Central Florida dog clubs with the Annual Junior Handler’s Jamboree as instructors. Note that there are no membership fees, no clubs to join and each participant only need deal with us directly. At a recent dog show, someone inquired as to why we offer all we do for all Labradors and the most befitting answer was "Because we are uniquely qualified to do so!" Of course, I could have gone into extensive details with my answer, I could have said that it is a life-long passion, yes I could have made a dissertation with my answer, but in reality it is 100% true, we are uniquely qualified to do so. As top champion show breeders for the last 16-plus years, having produced more bred-by champions than any other Labrador breeder in Florida. As professional dog trainers, having trained in excess of 15,000 dogs, mostly Labradors. As professional dog handlers, having handled and titled thousands of show dogs of all breeds at AKC and International venues. As owners of a nutritional company supplying ten's of thousands of Labradors with breed-specific products. We offer all our partners all of the above areas of expertise, plus we also offer: Dog Show Management Stud Dog Service Management Litter Placement Currently (05/12/08), there are 60 owners, associates and Partners that participate in one way or another with Chambray Labradors and the Partners Program for the Betterment of the Breed. Some of these fine people have established kennel names, while others are one-dog owners, many participate at the dog shows, while others are content with us doing all the "foot" work. All of these people have one main thing in common, they all love Labrador Retrievers and they have decided to pool all our resources with the Betterment of the Breed in mind.
